<p>Forging-resistant paper, which reacts with chemicals on falsification, is based on paper sized on both sides, which contain a prod. reacting in basic medium in its bulk and/or on the surface, the prod. being a nitrophenol deriv. of formula (I) (in which R2-6 are NO2, H, halogen, COOH, (substd.) hydroxyl, (substd.) methoxy, (substd.) alkyl, (substd.) amino, formyl, (substd.)phenyl or arsenic acid gps. or 2 adjacent gps. form another conjugated ring). The paper is useful for receipts or official documents, e.g. h eaded paper, stamped paper, legal documents (travellerhs) cheques, passes or personal identity papers, ledgers etc. Yellow or orange red to violet colours are produced on falsification, depending on the (I) used.</p> |
