<p>The composting plant is a vertical chamber through which the material descends. The two discharge elements at the bottom include one grating with parallel bars which can be reciprocated by a drive. A second stationary grating has parallel bars, with openings so arranged that the passage is free in one and blocked in the other position of the first grating. This is a simple design which remains functionally reliable even under rough conditions. The discharge rate can be readily changed by changing the stroke of the reciprocating grating.</p> |
