PURPOSE:To considerably improve the erasing operability by providing a memory all erasing means, which collectively clears message codes stored in a memory, in a selective calling receiver provided with a message display function. CONSTITUTION:A message display control means 33 reads out the message code stored in a prescribed area of a memory 8 and displays it on a liquid crystal display device 7 when a switch 11 is depressed. The message code stored in another area of the memory B is read out in order and is displayed on the display device 7 at each time of depressing a switch 13. A memory partial erase control means 35 decides the clear mode when a switch 12 is operated twice with the message displayed on the display device 7, and the means 35 decides the all clear mode when a power switch 10 is turned off in this clear mode. In the all clear mode, all message codes whose preservation is not set out of all messages stored in the memory 8 are all erased. |
