<p>The awning type retractable roller blind extends between a wall m ounted winding drum and a toe bar which spans the free ends of two retractable elbow jointed cantilever arms (6). The roots of the arms are separately mounted (7) on the wall, the mounting being of a universal joint type of which one of the axies can be set at a definite inclination. The arrangement enables the inclination of the awning to be adjusted whilst maintaining the arm fulcrum axies perpendicular to that of the drum. A bracket (70) locates a rotatable wheel (74) which can be locked at a desired orientation by nuts (76) and bolts (72), and which forks (64) to locate a normal axle (63). A diametrically aligned cylindrical block (62) pivots about the latter axle, its extremities locating stub axles (61) upon which the forked head of the arm (6) is mounted. Screws (80, 81) traversing threaded bolt bores may be used to set the prim axle (61) at the required inclination.</p> |
