<p>The mechanism winds wires and cables on and off drums. It has columns with centres for the support and rotation of the drums. The columns (111, 112) form parts of independent units which are not mechanically coupled together. Each unit is driven by an independent motor (231, 232) independently of the other. Both units are on a common travel track. The motors can be electrically interconnected, and in one unit the motor can be arranged to develop less power in one travel direction than in the other.</p> |
