Rape topping mechanism with flail-type rear chopper - with knife between tools, and conveyor for leaves and head section

The cutter mechanism is for topping rape, having a flail-type front cutter and a rear one with a knife cutting up the rape head into sections. A conveyor is provided for the leaves and head section. The rear cutter has a flail-type chopper (8), the knife (15) being mounted between the two chopping tools (2, 8) and extending from the chopper periphery. The chopper is so driven as to transport the sections of head away (16). There can be a transverse conveyor common to the front cutter delivering the leaves (4) and the rear one delivering the sections of head, and mounted above both.
