Refrigerator utilising Peltier effect - has internal shutters to retain low temp. when current is switched off

The refrigerator has an inner compartment (1) inside a thermally insulated cabinet (2). The upper part of the cabinet supports Peltier thermo-electric devices (16), which produce a low temperature on the underside of the cover and dissipate the heat on the upper side. The fan (18) circulates cold air inside the cabinet through the passage-ways (8, 9) around the inner compartment. The fan (21) blows air over the upper parts of the thermo-electric devices (16) to remove the heat. The handle (22) operates a switch to cut off the current and simultaneously closes the shutters (11, 12) to retain the low temperature when the refrigerator is not operating.
