Reinforcing framework for concrete beams - is manufactured from sheet steel cut and expanded into diamonds

The forming machine has a feed mechanism (1) which forces the sheet steel forward in steps equal in length to the pitch of the diamonds. The first station (8) in the machine stamps out the sheet. The cutters are located at the three following stations (9,10,11) which are fitted with blades on the lower edges. The following stations cause the sheet steel to be expanded to form each diamond. The number of stations is connected to the width of the reinforcing frame. The final station houses a cutter to provide the exact length of reinforcing bar required.
