<p>Stoppage of yarn in the jet due to a process interruption is sensed by a device which operates a valve to allow high pressure air to flow across the yarn entry slot via an orifice positioned opposite the entry, the high temp. steam is thus diverted out of the jet through the yarn entry and away from the yarn. The need to remove jets for cleaning after process stoppages can be reduced from 15 to 3% of the stoppages, thus reducing down time on the affected portion of the machine.</p> |
