The transfer machine is composed of a turntable (3) with indexing, with positioning devices for transferring a plurality of component-carrier plates (4) carrying the components which undergo successive machining operations interspersed with indexing operations. Machining units (5) are located close to the circumference of the table; each of them has a device for engaging a cutting tool (6) which causes the cutting head to advance or retract by one in the machining direction. Sliding multi-axis devices make it possible to adjust and modify the relative positions of the cutting heads and of the component-carriers. These sliding devices are controlled adjusting devices with supply volumes which can be regulated as a function of the volumes recorded, which determines and sets the relative positions. In this way, the machine may be modified and adjusted very easily and very rapidly for a new series of components. <IMAGE>
