<p>The conveyor is particularly for ductile workpieces such as green carbon anodes, these being carried on supports. The carbon anodes are carried on plates(6), transported forward(8) loose one behind the other by a roller track(1) and thrust mechanism(2). At the end of the roller track, they are lowered onto a return belt conveyor(5), running faster than the track, and then lifted(3) to the level of the latter again. The operating speed of the return mechanism can be such that the duration of its cycle is at the most equal to the interval between the loading of successive anodes onto the roller track.</p> |
