Electric drive for hydraulic torque converter - operates with motor and drive pump on common self locating flange

The electric motor is connected to the hydraulic torque converter with a special flange (3) which supports a separate flange (4) on which the motor shaft (5) and hydraulic pump (6) are located. The motor drives the pump which in turn drives the torque converter. The special flange allows simple alignment of the motor shaft, pump and torque converter. The torque is transferred directly with a minimum of losses.
