<p>When running idle, the revolving splitting cone is covered by means of a covering component on a swivelling mounting, on the machine for splitting wood. The support bench (2) is mounted on a swivelling mounting, and incorporates a passage recess (5) fitting the contour of the cone (1). There is a bolt (6), in a position for covering the cone, the bolt being releasable by means of an actuating lever (12) against the force of a safety spring (8). The bolt can be two-armed swivel lever, with one arm connected to the spring, and the other to the activating lever, which may be operated by a knee plate (14). This ensures effective cone covering and is easily operated without involving excessive expense.</p> |
