<p>A calculator indicates the instantaneous number of revolutions. It is easily mounted and gives precise measurement over the range 0.1 to 9,999 revolutions per minute. Only are initiator to measure the gating time has to be installed. A microprocessor uses a given formula to calculate the r.p.m. for the time pulses counted during this time. An inbuilt sliding decimal point permits an accurate reading at low revolutions. A quartz-controlled pulse generator supplies a frequency divider. these pulses are counted in an 8 digit binary code data counter. A potential change at the initiator - caused by a lug on the shaft passing it - is onverted to a pulse. The latter starts a command release counter pulsed by the frequency of the pulse generator.</p> |
