Compression mechanism for contents of dustbin - has frame on shaft close to wall inside and parallel to inlet edge

The mechanism partly compresses the contents of a dustbin and particularly a large-capacity one, having a frame swung by hand from near the inlet towards the inside. The frame has a shaft(9), close to one of the lengthwise walls(4) of the bin and at a distance below the edge(6) of the inlet at least equal to the frame width, and parallel to this edge. It also has two or more arms(10) swinging towards the inside(7) and joined by a cross-member(11), which in the rest position bears against the inside of the bin wall(8) at the inlet edge. It is actuated by one or more external levers(12), and is coupled to a spring or other suitable mechanism returning it to the starting position.
