The indicator has nearly vertical immersion tube, reaching below the lowest permissible oil level, with a level picup inside it. The pickup delivers a signal when the oil level falls below the permissible level. A pot (18) is provided in the oil tank (12) surrounding, at a distance, the immersion tube (14). Its top edge (19) projects above the lowest permissible oil level (13) in the tank (12). The pot (18) has a hole (20) through which the oil inside and outside the pot (18) can pass. When the vehicle moves in a turn and the oil level near the pot sinks, the passage of oil is interrupted.
