The camera has a sliding ratchet bar coupled directly to the shutter release, or to a time delay mechanism, via a drive wheel. The time delay is integral to the camera and the bar provides a simple coupling to connect both systems. The time delay mechanism uses as much of the normal exposure control as possible, with few additions. A blocking mechanism has a spring-loaded retainer holding the release slide in an end position.
