Self-loading lorry for containers - uses double-jointed servo arms and spreader frame

The self-loading container lorry has servo-operated folding arms fore and aft to lift the container between the lorry and the ground, while stabilising struts brace the vehicle on the ground. The arms have their folding and lifting action operated by rams and small additional arms are servo-pivoted at the ends of the main arms to increase the reach. The additional arms allow the use of a spreader frame so that special containers can be transferred, and with the reach of the hoist increased, without affecting the space on the lorry.
