PURPOSE:To form the end face of connector for optical fiber connection in a simple constitution, with small angular error and at high precision, by using a grind stone having the cutting and polishing face on the circumference and finishing face on the side. CONSTITUTION:A connector 14 for optical fiber connection which is positioned as being borne on a jig 15 is cut by a cutting grind stone 10 on the circumferential part of a grind stone. The end face of the connector 14 having been cut which is borne on a similar jit 15 enforced with elastic force of a spring 20 is ground and finished by a rough grinding stone 11 at the side part of the grind stone and a finishing stone 12. Therefore, the end face of the connector for optical fiber connection may be finished at a high precision with small angular error by means of a grind stone in a simple constitution being driven by the same driving mechanism. |
