Coil holder for small electrical machine stator - has core punchings for single winding slots, fitted with thin insulation troughs which snap into holders

The coil holder is principally intended for the stator of a small universal motor. The core punchings (1) are made with slots (2, 2') for a single winding. The slots are fitted with thin insulation troughs (3, 3'). At each end of the core a coil holder secton (8), also of insulating material, is attached. It projects above the core at the radially outer side. The coil holder sections may locate, by means of moulded on pins, in holes (6) in the punchings. Typically, the insulation troughs (3, 3') snap into the holders (8).
