<p>Inside the casing of the furnace or oven is a bearing bed (I) which includes two parallel walls aligned at 90 degrees w.r.t. the longitudinal axis of the drum. The walls of (I) are used to support a row of rollers arranged along the segment of a circle and on which the drum rests, each roller can be adjusted vertically, i.e. in the radial direction w.r.t. the drum. Each roller is pref. mounted via bearings on a shaft ending in an eccentric, and each eccentric carries a disk fixed on a lever arm moved by a work cylinder. Each of the work cylinders or jacks is located via a pivot on (I) and is used to rotate an eccentric, thus altering the height of a roller. Arrangement eliminates the use of expensive running rings and provides simple mountings which can be repaired at low cost.</p> |
