Small building retractable into ground - has flat roof covered with turf and is lowered into concrete lined pit using electric motor

The building, of about the size of a weekend challet, garage, garden summerhouse or store-room, is esp. for areas where plans for permanent buildings are not readily approved. It is held in position above a pit previously provided in the ground, and can be completely sunk into this. The fit can be a watertight vat, pref. a prefabricated concrete unit, with its cover provided by the flat roof of the sunken building. A hoist may be incorporated between the walls of the vat and of the building, pref. in the form of axial protruding threaded spindles on the building's corner, and nuts fixed to the floor.
