PURPOSE:To form a ceramic coating of long useful life which is excellent in adhering property of Fe base material, by spraying Ni base alloy on an Fe base or an Fe alloy base material, and by spraying Al2O3 in addn. then by heating the coated material at a high temp. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of an Fe base or an Fe alloy base material is sprayed Ni-Cr alloy consisting of 82 % Ni and 18 % Cr to form a ground coating 0.2 mm in thickness. In addn., on the ground coating is formed a sprayed coating of Al2O3 0.2 mm in thickness, then the coated base material is heated at a temp. not lower than 1,100 deg.C. Interdispersion is caused between the Ni base alloy ground coating and the Fe base material to form an intermediate Fe-Ni alloy layer, producing strong metallurgical bonding. The bonding strength between the Ni base alloy ground coating and the Al2O3 coating is also increased. Previous plating of Fe base material further increases the bonding strength between the base material and the sprayed ground layer. |
