The bearing assembly comprises a plastics mounting in which a metal bush is secured. The bush (2) has a holder (8) protruding radially and bearing against one end face (9) of the mounting (1) and also bearing in the peripheral direction against a stop (10) protruding axially from this face. The holder can be in the form of an external circlip fitted on the bush, its fitting lugs bearing against the stop, while the latter can be integral with the mounting. The design prevents the bush from turning and sliding, even at high temps.
