<p>The label dispenser with a printing mechanism has a mounting in the housing for a roll of carrier strip with adhesive labels. An inking arm swings against the printing rollers, and a feed roller pulls the strip with labels off the roll. The strip is passed round the leading edge of the housing base, in front of which is a roller pressing the label peeled off it onto the item, and then between two puller rollers rearwards under the base. The rollers and arm are coupled by a ratchet and/or gear drive to an actuating mechanism, so as to print a label and index the strip forward for a label length. The pressure roller forms the actuating mechanism, and can have a pawl eccentrically mounted on it, whose free end engages with pins on the feed roller.</p> |
