PURPOSE:To suppress the error of positioning for a magnetic head by shortening a time interval between the two couples of pattern parts for the positioning of respective tracks. CONSTITUTION:In the positioning areas of the respective tracks on a magnetic disk, an A pattern for the AGC of a reproducing signal and B and C patterns are provided, the latter two patterns dislocated in the reverse direction by 1/2 track pitch in each track for the tracking positioning of the magnetic head. The time interval between these B and C patterns is shortened and in comparison with a case that the time interval is not shortened, the positioning error of the magnetic head due to the change of the fixed gain of an AGC circuit goes to be small. |
