<p>The system gives accurate control and programming of repeated multi-dimensional movements. The path of each torque- and/or power-transmitting component is divided into stages by stopping positions, and movement of the datum point on the component concerned beyond the stopping position is controlled by data in a main storage unit, which produces a signal, in the absence of any overshooting, when the datum point is in the stage immediately before the stopping position concerned, allowing it to pass the latter. If there is no signal, the point is halted at the next stopping position. If the overshooting, either the speed of emission of data from the storage unit, or that of point movement, is altered dependent on the characteristic of the amount of overshoot.</p> |
