<p>A damper of the type which is adjustable for the damping force, includes a cylinder and a piston working therein. The interior of the cylinder is devided into two liquid chambers by the piston. The piston has a damping force generating mechanism. A piston rod is connected to the piston and extends through one of the liquid chambers to the outside of the cylinder. A coaxial bore is formed in the piston rod and a liquid passage communicates the two chambers independently from the damping force generating mechanism and includes at least a portion of the bore. A rotary valve is secured to an adjusting rod inserted into the bore and rotatable from the outside of the damper.</p> |
