<p>NEW MATERIAL:5-Oxo-3,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydrocarbostyril derivatives of formula I (R is H, lower alkyl, phenyl or others) or their acid adducts. EXAMPLE:6-(1-piperidinomethyl)-5-oxo-3,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydrocarbostyril. USE:Tranquilizer. PREPARATION:The reaction between 5-oxo-3,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydrocarbostyril, formaldehyde and a piperidine of formula II is carried out in an inert solvent as THF in the presence of a catalyst of mineral acid as sulfuric acid at 50-100 deg.C to form title compound of formula I.</p> |
