PURPOSE:To efficiently dehydrate the bulky material with a dehydrator equipped with the rollers of small diameter, by pressing the lower roller closely to the upper roller being arranged with the axial center offsetted transversely from that of the lower roller, nad by biting the material, pressed against the outer surface of the upper roller so as to be primarily dehydrated, betweeen two rollers driven in opposite directions from each other. CONSTITUTION:When the screen cake, etc., is dropped on the chute 6 through the carry-in conveyer 12 and the hopper 19, the chute 6 is pressed against the outer surface of the upper roller 1 by the cylinder 8 in order to execute the primary dehydration for reducing the volume of the material to a specified extent. This screen cake is next easily bitten into the gap between upper and lower rollers, and is dehydrated to the required moisture content. Hereupon, the friction factor of the upper roller 1 is specified larger than that of the chute 6, in order to make the primarily dehydrated cake possible to be easily betten by two rollers. The filtrate, being obtained from the dehydration by two rollers, drops on the filtrate chute 14 passing through the slit installed in the chute 6, the gap between the lower roller 2 and the tip of the chute 6, etc.; the filter cake is raked away by the scraper 5 and is conveyed away by the takeout conveyer 13. |
