PURPOSE:To simplify operation for maintenance and adjustment and to reduce a cost by providing a nonvolatile RAM and storing the lives and the working circumstances of consumables such as a photosensitive drum, developer and a cleaning device, etc., in said RAM. CONSTITUTION:A maintenance counter RAM area 33 for confirming the using state of the consumables of an electrophotographic copying machine is provided in the nonvolatile RAM 27. A counter for counting and storing the number of copies or a using time respectively according to the consumables such as the photosensitive drum, a cleaning brush, the developer and a fixing roller, etc., is provided in the RAM area 33. When each counted number of the counter becomes a set value or more which is previously set in another address of the RAM area 33, a warning is displayed on a state display unit or an alarm signal is outputted. A microprocessor can inhibit a copying action if necessary. Thus, the operation for maintenance and adjustment can be easily performed at low cost. |
