PURPOSE:To make possible a large volume of copying without increasing the number of digits of display device by providing a means of letting the set display device function as the upper digit display of the copy display device. CONSTITUTION:When a changeover key 2-5 is operated on a keyboard 2, a central processing unit CPU1 controls a display device control circuit 6 based on the program of a read-only-memory ROM10 so that a set display device 4 functions to display upper 2 digits and a copying display device 5 to display lower 2 digits. When a start key 2-2 is operated in this state, the copying operation is started and a memory 13 for discharge count is counted up and its contents are displayed by display devices 4, 5. In this way, the display device of 4 digits is formed by the display devices 4, 5 and since the memory 13 for sheet number counts is of 4-digit constitution, the number of copying sheets becomes possible up to maximum 9999 sheets. In this way, a large volume of copying may be made possible without increasing the number of digits of display devices. |
