Forced air circulation oven - for the mass prodn. of moulded bricks using turbulent air flow

The bricks or the like are fed downwards in vertical stacks through currents of preheated, turbulent air; and after a dried brick has been removed from the bottom of each stack, a new brick is placed on the top of each stack. In the pref. oven, air cushions clamp the second brick at the bottom of each stack while a hydraulic platform lowers the bottom, dry brick in each stack for removal. At least one end wall of the oven is reciprocated horizontally so hot air currents are reciprocated across the oven. The automatic plant requires little manual labour, and has high thermal efficiency.
