<p>The mechanism is intended for holding a movable body such as a dredger, in one position and comprises a cable (5) connected to a fixed point. The cable is coupled (4) to a hydraulic cylinder (1) such than then tensile force in the cable is in equilibrium with the pressure in the cylinder. The cylinder is conected via a valve (8) either to a pressure source (22, 25) or to drain (21). The valve is actuated by pressure in the cylinder on one side, and pressure in an accumulator (12) on the other. The arrangement is such that if the pressure in the cylinder increases, the valve connects it to the pressure source, and if the pressure drops it connects it to drain.</p> |
