The fuel cell has its gas (air) and electrolyte (potash) circulated by pumps and the escape of combustion gas determined by a regulator controlled by the current delivered by the cell. The pumps have liquid rings formed by electrolyte. The pumps continuously extract the gas and electrolyte issuing from the electrochemical assembly. The gas and electrolyte are circulated by separate pumps (2, 3) or alternatively only one pump may be used. |
