<p>Motorcyclist's protective garment is moulded from sheets of leather, which are undulated to conform to the shape of an elastic wadding introduced between them and a base fabric. The leather sheets are pressed wet into the mould and allowed to dry inside it. After inserting the elastic wadding into the undulations, the undulated sheet is fitted to an elastic textile web or fleece on its underside, and seamed along the grooves of the moulded sheet. Extensible, easy-fitting garment is obtd. with the min. use of leather sheeting, and the elastic wadding is held firmly in place.</p> |
