A method of centring the bearings is described (see Division B3). One bracket 19 carries a bearing 18 secured therein by adhesive, bracket 19 being located and fastened to stator 11 by wall portion 25, Fig. 6, and integral wings 26 secured in stator 11 by a self-tapping screw S biting into core 11. Another bracket 22 carrying bearing 21 is moulded of plastics material and located on stator 11 by surfaces 33, 34 on the bracket and secured by adhesive. A third type of bracket 40, Fig. 8, is located by its walls 41 fitting inside core 11 and shoulders 45 engaging the top of the core, the bracket being secured by adhesive. A fourth bracket 50, Fig. 10, comprises a wire formed to provide two legs 51 fitting into holes in the core with a central hole formed by a coil 53 of the wire. |
