PURPOSE:To lessen the clogging of filters which occurs at squeezing and dehydration as well as to facilitate the picking up of cake by installing opposedly a pair of squeezing pistons having filters at their front faces and slide horizontally in a cylinder frame, which is provided with a port for feeding material to be processed at its side. CONSTITUTION:After sealing the left half of the cylinder frame 21 by the piston 22, piston 23 is retreated, and the material to be processed 41 is fed into the frame 1 from the port 24. To squeeze and dehydrate the material by compression, the two pistons 22 and 23 are forwarded head on, then, the two pistons are retreated making the emptied space vacuum, and the clogging at filters are removed by feeding air into the vacuum which arouse stirring within the chamber. Then, the two pistons are advanced for further compression. Squeezing and dehydration of the material are completed by repeating the above operation for several times. For picking up the strained draff, the piston 22 is retreated while the piston 23 is advanced forward and the cake 42 is discharged out of the frame 21. |
