Tumbler lock with bent tumbler plates - has cylinder core with sliding curved tumblers with restoring spring

The lock with tumblers has cylindrical core rotating in the housing. The lock tumbler plates slide in radial direction. Each plate has a window of coded dimensions for contacting a key notch which actuates the given tumbler plate for rotating and releasing the core. The tumbler plates are in contact with each other with low friction. The cylinder core (1) has single central opening (2) for accommodating the tumbler plates. This opening (2) has grooves (3) for accommodating restoring springs (11). A tumbler plate (6) has a web and two flanges (7, 8). The window (9) is situated in the connecting web and one flange (7) has an outwards bent arm (10). The latter is held in one of the grooves (3) of the cylinder core (1) in contact with the restoring spring (11). Edges of the flanges (7, 8) of one plate rest on the middle part of the adjacent plate.
