The change-speed gearbox has a first shaft with a main one in line with it, and a number of layshafts driven by gears from the first one. Each layshaft has gears turning with it, and there are main shaft gears each meshing with several layshaft gears, the layshafts floating in relation to the main shaft. Two layshafts (5, 6) rotate in bearings in levers (28, 29) and are situated in diametrally opposite positions in relation to the main shaft (16). Each lever has a pivot pin (32, 33) fixed to the gearbox housing, and they also have a common movable one (34), so that they can pivot in a plane at right angles to that passing through the layshafts.
|
