<p>PURPOSE:To provide a removing agent for basic gas which removes basic gas effectively and is regenerated nearly completely, by carrying a nonvolatile acid with kieselguhr, shale, or zeolite. CONSTITUTION:A carrier selected from the group consisting of kieselguhr, shale, and zeolite, having pores of diameters not larger than 100mu, pore volume not larger than 0.1cc/g, particle diameter 2-32 mesh pref. 2.5-10 mesh, is impregnated with sulfuric acid, boric acid, or oxalic acid etc., which has acid vapor press. at 50 deg.C not larger than 10mm Hg, in such a degree that the volume of pores of diameter 100mu or smaller is decreases to 50% or under, pref. 0.25-45%. The removing agent degraded in basic gas-removing capacity is regenerated by bringing it into contact with aq. acid soln. of a concn. 1-80% by weight, pref. 5-50% by weight at 0- 100 deg.C, pref. at 10-60 deg.C.</p> |
