Above the central region of the annular drum there is mounted a rotor coupled to a drive mechanism. The rotor comprises a hollow casing from which horizontal tubular arms extend radially, each arm mounting an agitator arm which extends downwardly into the mixing space. The internal cavity of the rotor is connected to a source of liq. which is thereby enables to flow through the radial arms and the agitator arms into the mixing space. Pref. the agitator arms are pivotally connected to the radial arms through a resilient coupling. The power may be transmitted to the rotor through a transmission unit located below the rotor body and in the central space of the annular drum. The mixer is intended for concrete. It is of low overall height, easily cleaned, and requires only a single liq. supply path not involving the use of hoses.
