<p>The invention is concerned with the need for a composition which is easily applied to walls or ceilings as a lining or filler to act to mitigate the effects of water condensation on these walls or ceilings, and to have good thermal insulation and fire retardment properties. The compositions of the invention comprise a mixture of an aqueous polyvinylidene chloride copolymer emulsion and organic fibres. The comonomer component can be an acrylate or a methacrylate, vinyl chloride, styrene, vinyl acetate, acrylamide or acetic acid. The organic fibres preferably comprise wood flour. </p> |
