The dressing tool consists of a main body which has the same shape and size as an ordinary large handfile. One end of the tool is covered with diamond dust which is bonded to the tool. The remaining end is left uncovered and is used as a handle. The tool is used for truing polishing wheels and points. The surface finish obtained with the dressing tool is extremely smooth.
