The flexible distributor blet, has bar-shaped dogs protruding sideways and held in recesses in it. The dogs are accommodated in recesses formed by them as they are driven into the belt, typically in the plane of the lengthwise reinforcing inlay in the centre of the belt. There can be reinforcing textile material embedded in the belt above and below the dogs.
