A screwed butt joint is provided between a sliding-shutter sill track 15 and a shutter-box sill 12, such that the connecting screws 24 and 42, even if slightly loosened in use, will not interfere with the movement of the sliding shutters into and out of the shutter box. This result is attained by a connector 13 interposed between the sliding-shutter sill track and the shutter-box sill. The connector has formed therein two screw holes 49 and 50 in alignment with screw holes 23 and 41, respectively, that are formed on the undersides of the bottom walls 16 and 33 of the sliding- shutter sill track and the shutter-box sill. The screws 24 and 42 pass in the opposite directions through the holes 49 and 50 and are threadedly engaged in the holes 23 and 41. <IMAGE> |
