The compensation pressure meter generates the required pressure by heating fluid in a thin-walled container of small volume and large surface area. The container is a capillary tube connecting the siphon diaphragm to the pressure meter. The tube material has a high specific resistance and can be used as the heater resistance for the fluid. This avoids undesirable delays in pressure indication caused by the slow cooling of the large fluid volume in the siphon diaphragm.
