<p>Leak-proof container e.g. for fruit juices, comprises punched-out bottom and top consisting of polyethylene-Al foil laminate, edge-welded to one piece of foil making up the sidewalls. A hole is punched into the top portion into which vaguely trapezium-shaped flat piece of sheet metal is riveted whose point has a downwardly turned cutting edge so that, when it is rotated about the rivet as an axis, the cutter will penetrate the top and cut a pouring hole in it, much like a tin opener. This cutter has a greater flexural stiffness than both top and bottom portions. One end of the cutter is fitted with a gripper to lift the incised top off for easier pouring.</p> |
