Green fodder is preserved by (a) pressing the fresh or lightly dried green harvest; (b) introducing the pressed objects to a treatment- or storage compartment; (c) blowing air, pref. upwards, by the stored pressed objects in compartment until the green harvest has reached the desired degree of dryness; and opt. (d) transferring the dried pressed objects to a final storage compartment. Energy consumption is saved. A nourishing cattle fodder, having constant quality, is obtd. |
