1. Opto-electronic device having optical fibers for delivering and for returning light to and from detection terminals having any distribution in space, characterized in that said fibers are distributed in a matrix having m lines and n columns, each line being associated with a separate receiving transducer (14) and each column being associated with a separate light emitting transducer (11) and in that the emitting transducers (11) and receiving transducers (14) are connected to scanning electronic means (22, 26) for determining the response of anyone of the terminals by energizing the emitting transducer of the emitting-receiving transducer pair associated with the terminal and by analyzing the signal which is delivered by the receiving transducer in response.
